Re-igniting the spark in fitness

Tandem's Creative Director Mike Pennington has always been a big fan of health and fitness, so when some ex-Les Mills industry experts talked to him about the idea of re-igniting the spark in fitness for our increasingly sedentary and health challenged population, he was all over it. Mike Pennington co-founded the business in 2019, rolling up his sleeves to get stuck into everything needed to build the business case, build the business, design and build the facility and systems, launch and run it for its first 2 years.

Despite Covid shutting us down 4 months after opening, the business has achieved a number of huge milestones. Not only did Revl survive Covid, it grew to 1000 members, launched a new studio, was awarded finalists at the national industry awards, licensed the workouts to gyms across New Zealand, attracted investor interest and most importantly achieved NPS (Net promoter score) of over 90%.
